At 3D MicroCosmos, we are committed to providing high-quality 3D printed products and excellent customer service. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, cancellations, exchanges, and refunds.

1. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are purchasing as a consumer within the European Union, you may have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order without giving any reason, unless an exception under applicable law applies.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us before the withdrawal period expires by contacting:

Returned items must be sent back without undue delay and, where possible, in their original packaging.

2. Products That Cannot Be Returned

The right of withdrawal does not apply, where permitted by applicable law, to:

  • Products made to your individual specifications or clearly personalized.
  • Custom-designed or commissioned products.
  • Products manufactured from files, models, or designs supplied by the customer.
  • Digital downloads or digital files once delivery has begun with your consent.
  • Gift cards.

These limitations do not affect your statutory rights if a product is defective or not as described.

3. Standard Products

For products that are not personalized or custom-made, eligible returns may be requested within 14 days of delivery, provided the product:

  • Has not been used beyond what is necessary to inspect it.
  • Is returned complete and, where reasonably possible, in its original packaging.
  • Includes all accessories supplied with the product.

We reserve the right to reduce the refund if the value of the product has been diminished due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, or functioning, where permitted by law.

4. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before production or dispatch begins.

If production has already started for a personalized or custom-made product, cancellation may not be possible where permitted by applicable law.

If cancellation is accepted before shipment, any payment received will be refunded using the original payment method.

5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If you receive:

  • a damaged product,
  • a defective product,
  • an incorrect item, or
  • an incomplete shipment,

please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at orders@3dmicrocosmos.gr and include:

  • your order number,
  • a description of the issue,
  • clear photographs of the product and packaging.

Where the issue is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law, which may include repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.

6. Return Shipping

Unless otherwise required by law:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for eligible voluntary returns.
  • We will cover reasonable return shipping costs where the return results from our error or from a confirmed defective, damaged, or incorrect product.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot accept responsibility for returned items lost in transit.

7. Refunds

After receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will notify you of the outcome.

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

Original shipping charges are refunded only where required by applicable law or where the return results from our error.

8. Manufacturing Characteristics

3D printing is a manufacturing process with inherent characteristics.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following are not considered defects:

  • Minor layer lines.
  • Slight colour variations.
  • Small surface imperfections typical of additive manufacturing.
  • Minor dimensional tolerances within normal manufacturing limits.
  • Small support removal marks or finishing marks.

These characteristics do not affect the intended functionality of the product.

9. Customer-Supplied Designs

Where products are manufactured using files, designs, or specifications supplied by the customer:

  • The customer confirms they have the necessary rights to use the submitted material.
  • The customer is responsible for ensuring the submitted content does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of third parties.
  • We reserve the right to refuse orders that we reasonably believe may infringe copyright, trademarks, patents, or applicable laws.

10. International Orders

Customers outside the European Union are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by their local authorities.

Orders may be delayed due to customs procedures beyond our control.

11. Export Restrictions

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or refund any order that cannot legally be fulfilled due to applicable export controls, sanctions, trade restrictions, or shipping limitations.

12. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy limits or excludes any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law, including Greek consumer protection legislation and European Union consumer protection laws.
